The WMIRA Novice Regatta scheduled for this Saturday, May 3, has been cancelled. With flooding predicted to reach 11 feet on Friday (and the pulling of launches and, potentially, the dock from TBC), the water level and debris will not allow racing on either Saturday or Sunday.
The Friday night carb-loading dinner is also cancelled. Many thanks to all parents who volunteered for this week, as well as the coaches and support team (Tricia and Paul) who scrambled to make this event happen for the team. They were able to enter us in both a women’s 4 and a men’s 4 by recruiting rowers from other teams, and we appreciate their efforts.
Coaches anticipate that all practice for the remainder of the week will be on land at the HS, starting at 6:15 AM. If this changes, rowers will be notified by their coaches.
