Green line: Navy Yard – walk 1.6mi east along M Street to the boathouse.
Orange and Blue lines: Eastern Market – 1.6mi walk; Potomac Avenue – 1.4mi walk.
On Metrobus
Many Metrobus routes (including the A42, A46, A48, P1, and P2 routes) pass the intersection of 11th and M Streets, SE, several blocks west of our boathouse. The Navy Yard Circulator bus stops at the intersection of 8th & M Streets SE.
By Car
If you are traveling to the boathouse for a regatta, please contact the organizers of your regatta for detailed parking information and driving directions, as there is a limited amount of parking on site. Please use caution, as traffic patterns are frequently changing due to the ongoing reconstruction of the 11th Street Bridges.
- From Virginia
Take I-395 North across the 14th Street Bridge Proceed past the Maine Avenue exit. Get into the left lane and head towards I-295. Proceed past the South Capital Street exit. Take the next exit for 6th Street SE/NavyYard. At the bottom of the ramp, go through the two lights. At the next light, make a RIGHT onto 8th Street SE. Proceed to M Street, SE and take a LEFT. Continue on M Street for 1.1 miles to the boathouse.
- From Maryland
Take I-295 South. Pass exits East Capital Street & Pennsylvania Avenue. Take the exit for Suitland Parkway. DO NOT GET OFF THE RAMP. Follow the ramp around a full 360 degrees and re-enter I-295 North. Take the first exit for Washington Navy Yard & I-395. Go over the bridge and get into the right middle lane. Merge right following signs for M Street, and the Washington Navy Yard. Proceed down the ramp, and make a right at the traffic light, and drive 0.8 miles down M Street to the boathouse.
